Time Lapse Formula
Because I keep losing it… If you want to make a time lapse, all you need to know is the…
H = Length of event in HOURS
S = Length of time-lapse in SECONDS
F = Frame rate
I = Interval Rate
( 60 x (H x 60) / (S x F) = I
So if I wanted to compress a 4-hour event into 40 seconds, with a playback frame rate of 24fps, I would need to shoot at an interval of 15 seconds.
(60 x (4 x 60)) / (40 x 24) = 15
